Precision Laboratories came to Northwoods in need of a new website and an overall strategy to guide its digital presence. With a wide-ranging catalog, the website had to quickly direct users to the right products and display related resources such as safety documentation and mixing instructions.
Guided by the results of meticulous user research, our team developed a new, data-backed UX strategy that included a reorganized sitemap, cleanup of duplicate pages, and recommendations for content and SEO improvements. We supported Precision Laboratories throughout the entire redesign process, providing project management, mood board development, content migration, creation of nearly 500 redirects, and extensive WordPress training.
A major challenge of the website redesign was presenting product tables in a way that would display nicely on both desktop and mobile devices. Our team created a responsive solution that mixes links, icons, and text for easy readability and on-brand look and feel. On the back end, Northwoods developed a module that allows Precision Laboratories to easily maintain product data, saving the manufacturer valuable time and resources.
